A priest and three couples who have participated and trained in the Retrouvaille program present The Weekend. The team members share their personal stories of struggle, reconciliation and healing. The presenting teams are all couples who previously experienced the four stages of marriage and benefited from the Retrouvaille Weekend themselves.
Time for personal reflection and private couple communication follows most presentations. The Weekend process centres around open and honest communication, which occurs privately between spouses in their own room. There is no group sharing required, other than a brief personal introduction at the beginning of The Weekend.
All team members, both couples and clergy, believe in God and his desire and power to heal and resurrect marriages. Though many denominations are represented, all team members share a Christian faith. The program is focused on marriage, not religious doctrine. It is beneficial to couples of all faiths or no faith at all.
Are you experiencing difficulty in your marriage? Do you feel alone or frustrated? Do you argue frequently with your spouse or have you stopped talking to one another? Do you think separation or divorce is your only option? Don't lose hope. Retrouvaille has helped thousands of couples through difficult times in their marriages.
What happens after The Weekend?
POST SESSIONS Restoration takes time. Most couples find the 6 Post Sessions the most productive components of the program and where the most growth in the marriage occurs. The Weekend is not a ‘miracle cure’; therefore, the Post-Weekend Sessions, held on Saturdays, have been designed to continue the marriage renewal process begun on The Weekend. The Post-Weekend Sessions provide support as couples discuss concepts of the importance of communication, intimacy, handling conflict, and many other topics.
CORE CORE (Continuing Our Retrouvaille Experience) allows for casual supportive small group meetings each month. This monthly meeting continues to reinforce the communication tools learned on the weekend and it is a positive and welcoming space that allows couples to form strong and lasting bonds as they continue to heal their marriages.
What is the process to register?
Before registration is complete a Registration Couple will interview both spouses and walk them through the process and answer any questions. A registration fee is required for each couple to confirm their spot on The Weekend. Couples are asked to make a voluntary donation on Sunday to help cover the entire cost of the program. This donation covers all the expenses of The Weekend, such as lodging, meals and materials plus the Post-Weekend Sessions. No couple is denied the chance to heal and renew their marriage because of lack of funds. *Donations are tax deductible. The registration fee is non-refundable.
August 11 - 13, 2023 Weekend Registration is 400.00 CAD (per couple).
